Reaching Out…

I had the opportunity to visit the Food Pantry at Efland UMC today. Orange County Outdoors Ministry has partnered with the Food Pantry since 2015. We donate venison to the Food Pantry and the volunteers distribute venison to families that visit on a weekly basis.

Our venison was featured today and the food pantry volunteers prepared three venison dishes: venison steak tips, chili, and Sloppy Joes. Samples of each were served on site and I have to say, the recipes were fantastic! Our food recipients were provided with recipes and all of the ingredients needed to prepare these meals at home.

The Food Pantry at Efland United Methodist Church distributes food every Saturday, from 10am to Noon. There is always a need for donations and if you or a neighbor are in need, come visit us one Saturday. We would love to meet you.
